Acceptable proof of purchase is a retail receipt, invoice, screen capture of your online order summary (i.e. Amazon.com, etc.), or any similar documents obtained from the seller. So I installed Rosetta Stone on a computer at school. Someone messed with the computer and changed the password. So the school reset all the computers. I installed rosetta stone on the computer again, but when I went to activate it, it wouldn't let me, and said it was already activated on another computer. I don't want to buy another one just for the code because they are expensive.
Click the Preferences icon on the Toolbar and select Activate Products.
Enter your activation code in the Ready to Activate tab and click Activate.
To find your activation code: Slip your activation card out of the inside of the front flap of your Rosetta Stone TOTALe box. Scratch off the silver strip on the back of your card to uncover your activation code.

One year ago my company bought the Rosetta Stone course polish for me. Initial installation went well and the quality and efficiency of learning with Rosetta Stone is already discussed in other reviews. My problem with Rosetta Stone is the activation after re-installing it on a new computer. In the last year my Laptop crashed twice, so I blew my two 'seats' already. A few days ago I bought a new Mac and did the installation again. Guess what, I can't activate the product now.. Old computer broken, can't deactivate the product to free up another registration. The customer service is insisting on having a copy of: Order number, purchase receipt, first four and last four digits for the Credit card. All the things you have on hand when you're 5000 miles away from the office, trying to get this f.. software working. The customer service representative was not wiling to issue a new activation code without the information requested above. Don't even know if the receipts can still be found in the office. But that's another problem. So I may end up with a Software package that I can't register anymore. This procedure is an absolute hassle for any customer and not designed to maintain a good customer relationship. Any other upcoming language learning in my life will not include Rosetta Stone! I will 'immerse' myself in other techniques..
